Who we are

We are a group of Princeton-area people who have come together to practice Buddhist insight meditation (vipassana, or mindfulness meditation) and study the Dharma.  Formed in 2005, Princeton Insight Meditation (now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization) is open to anyone interested in starting or deepening their insight meditation practice through group practice and support.

What we do

The primary activity of Princeton Insight Meditation are two regular weekly sitting groups:

All sitting groups are open to everyone: drop-ins are welcome.  Details about both the Monday and Sunday sitting groups, including location maps, can be found on the event calendar.

We also have all-day meditation retreats four times a year, and we sponsor a meditation “open house” every month at Princeton Center for Yoga and Health.  See the event calendar for details about all of our activities.

Join us!

Everyone is welcome to drop in and join us on Monday nights.  No prior meditation experience is required; we can provide some basic instructions to get you started.  If you want to keep apprised of schedule changes, all-day events, and other news of the group, please sign up for our email list.  You can also e-mail us directly.
