To insure everyone’s safety and to conform to current restrictions and guidelines, Princeton Insight Meditation’s Sunday and Monday groups will not be meeting at Fellowship in Prayer until circumstances permit.

Who we are
We are a group of Princeton-area people who have come together to practice Buddhist insight meditation (vipassana, or mindfulness meditation) and study the Dharma. Formed in 2005, Princeton Insight Meditation (now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization) is open to anyone interested in starting or deepening their insight meditation practice through group practice and support.
What we do
The primary activities of Princeton Insight Meditation are two weekly groups: a sitting group on Mondays (7–9pm) and a Dharma study group on Sundays (3–5pm). Both groups meet at Fellowship in Prayer in downtown Princeton (291 Witherspoon Street). Details about both groups, including location map, can be found on the event calendar.
The sitting group is open to everyone: drop-ins are welcome. These meetings include periods of sitting and walking meditation, dharma readings, and group discussion.
The Dharma study group is also open to everyone. We are working together through Andrew Olendzki’s Integrated Dharma Program. Meetings include meditation, readings, and discussion.
We also have all-day meditation retreats four times a year, and we sponsor a meditation “open house” every month at Princeton Center for Yoga and Health. See the event calendar for details about all of our activities.
Everyone is welcome to drop in and join us on Monday nights. No prior meditation experience is required; we can provide some basic instructions to get you started.
